As the adoption research progresses I find myself starting to liken the process to gym class... you remember those days when they were picking teams and you're all standing there PRAYING your not the last one picked. Well, the adoption process is similar... I have to fill out this Letter to the Birth Parents.... basically selling/marketing ourselves to the mother or father of our potential future child. They can decide not to pick you based on what you look like, how much money you make, what faith you are, what hobbies you have, if you smoke, or don't smoke, if you have pets. I am high school all over again... begging to be the popular kid! AHHHH!!
Although, its exciting to be turning a corner (speaking of which.. we have our initial consult with the agency we selected next Wednesay, Nov. 11th)... I am still paranoid about being picked last.
